AutoCAD Wishlist Session
Join your fellow AutoCAD users as they discuss future enhancements to AutoCAD with a panel of Autodesk senior programmers and North American AutoCAD User Group (NAAUG) representatives. Questions and suggestions for enhancements to the product will be taken from the audience and discussed in this interactive forum.
Outstanding Keynote Address
Carol Bartz, CEO of Autodesk, Inc., will present the company's vision and direction. As the leader in desktop CAD solutions, Autodesk is committed to providing a harmonious, integrated family of products to support the exchange of information along the entire design automation process, from conceptual sketching to visualization to manufacturing and maintenance. "We're planning on becoming the leader in technical design automation," said Ms. Bartz. "We are expanding beyond a task-oriented focus. We know from listening to our users that they want proven solutions for large and small projects. They want to be able to address the entire design automation process. And we are working towards that goal in cooperation with our integrated partnership of dealers, developers, end users, and ATCs worldwide."
AutoCAD Certification
AutoCAD certification is now available at Autodesk University. Certifi-cation provides a consistent and fair standard against which you and your employer can evaluate your abilities. The AutoCAD certification exam is designed to test your level of proficiency with AutoCAD, knowledge of the features of AutoCAD software, and AutoCAD drawing skills. Anyone who uses AutoCAD in the workplace, whether as a designer, engineer, drafter, CAD manager, or recent graduate should take the AutoCAD certification exam. Enrollment is limited and an additional fee is required.
NAAUG User Group Meeting
The 4th Annual North American AutoCAD User Group meeting will feature the year in review, election of officers for the 93-94 year, and discussion of proposed changes to the NAAUG by-laws. Autodesk Strategy Track
The Autodesk strategy track presents a unique opportunity for managers and decision-makers to learn about Autodesk's strategic direction and future plans. This track will feature presentations by Autodesk vice presidents and senior technical managers. Look for the classes designated with the ACT prefix.
Afternoon Panels
Come listen to journalists, analysts, and CAD experts discuss and debate the most exciting questions in the Autodesk community. Held between 5:00 and 6:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the Autodesk University panels will cover such topics as choosing the best hardware platform, charting the future of Virtual Reality, understanding graphics chips, implementing pen-based computing, working with multimedia in theory and practice, and more.
Unwind and Gear Up, Monday October 11, 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Traditional Autodesk Beer Bust, Friday, October 15
For over a decade, Autodesk has treated its employees to a free pizza and beer bust late on Friday after- noon. In keeping with that tradition, Autodesk University attendees and Autodesk employees will observe the end of the first annual Autodesk University in true Autodesk style with with -- you guessed it -- free local micro-brewery beers and piping hot pizza.
